Give Thanks

It seems like people, as a generalization, begin preparing for Christmas earlier and earlier each year.  What ever happened to Thanksgiving?  I was in our local Target a few days after Halloween, and there was only one, lone “Happy Thanksgiving” sign up in the food section.  The Christmas decorations were in full swing in there.  I also see on Facebook where some folks are already putting up their Christmas decorations?!?!  On Halloween night, as we were driving to a fall festival in pursuit of candy and fun, one of the local Christian radio stations was playing Christmas music.  Granted, this may have been their way of protesting the “Devil’s Night”. I love Christmas as much as the next person, but things have seriously gotten out of hand here.  Instead of going buck wild celebrating Christmas before Thanksgiving, let’s all sit back and remember what we have to be grateful for. I’m stepping off my soapbox now.
