On the recommendation of a friend, I bought this watch a few years ago as a replacement for a much more expensive running watch. This particular running watch, while it was supposed to be a good watch and was highly recommended on the web, met its fate one summer afternoon in a pool. It was supposed to be water resistant in 3 feet of water. Needless to say, when I told my friend I was in the market for a digital watch that was sturdy and reliable, he told me that if I really wanted a watch that lasted, get a Timex Ironman. His recommendation was spot on. This watch has been nothing but reliable, and I have put it through hell and back. During the time that has passed since I purchased my Ironman, it has been banged up (as you can see in the photo), dropped numerous times and immersed in water on numerous occasions, but, like Timex’s old slogan says, it still “keeps on ticking”. I highly recommend an Ironman to anyone who is in the market for a good digital watch.
